Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan

Yet, here’s another anime recommendation for you anime fans…Don’t you guys miss those good classic Samurai/Ninja animes like Rourini Kenshin (Samurai X) or Ninja Scroll?…For those who loves those kinds of animes here is one you should really watch…As much as I like Sci-Fi, Mech, Political like animes, I love these kinds of genre as well (when i said political like, I meant like Ghost in the Shell politics stuff like that)..here is a brief summary of the anime.

“The protagonist, Yukimura Chizuru is the daughter of a doctor who works in Edo. The father leaves Edo to work as a volunteer doctor and moves to Kyoto without his daughter. As time passes by, Chizuru starts worrying about losing contact with her father, so she decides to go to Kyoto in search of him. On the way, Chizuru is attacked by few criminals and witnesses a fight between an oni and the Shinsengumi. Taking her into custody and saving her, the Shinsengumi debate on what to do with Chizuru when they discover that she is the daughter of the doctor they are also looking for. So they decide to become Chizuru’s protectors and help her look for her father. Lots of events happen while she stays with the Shingensumi, as they discover mysterious secrets and also fight against the Bakumatsu group.”

Senko no Night Raid

Sorry if I havnt posted an anime topic or anime review lately. I’m still catching up with the animes I used to watch before since I stop watching every time I go back to the Philippines due to the hectic schedules at school.

But recently I have found a new anime called “Senko no Night Raid”. A very interesting anime if your into those historical kind of stuff with a dash of sci-fi action like myself. Here’s a brief summary of the new anime

“The story is set in Shanghai in 1931, when the Imperial Japanese Army has been dispatched to mainland China due to the relatively recent First Sino-Japanese War, Russo-Japanese War, and World War I. In this cosmopolitan city of intrigue, there is a special military spy organization called “Sakurai Kikan” that has since been buried in history.”

Here is a trailer of the anime.

I think there are currently 3 episodes so far that is out on the net.. so go and check it out ^_^

The Philippines Mafia

Check this video out! hehe

I LIKE

hehe, but aside from the video, there are organized syndicates in the Philippines… They aren’t as organized as the Chinese mafia or the Yakuza, they can still be labeled as one of the worst oraganized syndicate in Asia

One of these is the Kuratong Baleleng

The Kuratong Baleleng began as an anti-communist vigilante group but has become a diversified kidnapping, smuggling, and extortion syndicate with close links to officials in Northwestern Mindanao and elsewhere.

Find out more on that website above about one of the Philippines organized Syndicate..

Ozine Fest 2010

Ozine Fest is a cosplay festival of anything in the Philippines. I wasn’t in the fest but I found this video that features some of the best cosplaying I’ve ever seen in Philippines. So for those who likes cosplaying and for cosplayers, enjoy!!

2010 Shanghai Expo PR Song is a Copycut Song from Mayo Okamoto?

turns out that the official theme song of the Expo is almost identical to a hit Japanese song from 1997 by Maya Okamoto (“そのままの君でいて”). Here’s a YouTube video that plays portions of each song back-to-back:

According to the reports, the Chinese songwriter who “wrote” the Expo theme song has denied that it is a copy. However, most of the people they interviewed on the street in Shanghai seem to lean towards the idea that it is based on the Japanese song. The Expo authorities are apparently in the process of investigating the claims.
